This is part of the Territories Blue series and is a transitional piece in a transitional series bridging Territories Blue with Energetic Interventions. I was exploring imaginary passages that my ancestors took to find themselves here in the United States at the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th Century. While doing this I made a few discoveries about them. I had just returned from Latvia, an ancestral region, and had felt strangely overtaken by how at home I felt there on that land. This piece is most similar in style to my piece "Promised" and was also painted just after returning from Latvia.
